The installation and commissioning of a mobile water treatment system in the town of Pomabamba, Ancash, Peru, was completed on the 24th
of October 2012 with the inauguration of a Euro Mec mobile water treatment plant providing drinking water to around 150 people within the Mission of the Oblate Fathers of St. Joseph. Plus, the Euro Mec water purifier will regularly be driven around the larger community to bring people safe drinking water.
The water treatment plant is based on ultrafiltration and disinfection technologies configured to combat the high level of organic pollution in waters of Pomabamba. The plant was designed to be easy to use and also to be highly mobile so that the Fathers of the Mission can treat water both within and outside of their Mission complex.
Being reminded that big and small water treatment projects can both have a huge impact on people, Euro Mec CEO Lorenzo Giordani compliments Engineer Elena Bonadei and team on the successful design, construction, delivery and start-up of the drinking water unit.
